Khewra Salt Mines Tour

Drive to khewra salt mines, Khewra Salt Mines are situated in the foothills of the Salt Range Jhelum District, at about 260 kilometers from Lahore. It catches the attention of up to 40,000 visitors per annul and is the second largest salt mine in the world. Khewra Salt Mines are the oldest in the South Asia. According to historians, Salt has been mined at Khewra since 320 BC following the discovery by Alexander’s troops. Dr. Warth in 1872 had developed the main tunnel at ground level and that main tunnel has since been transformed into a tourist resort.

Harappa Tour

Harappa is the site of an ancient and important settlement of the prehistoric Indus Valley civilization (3rd to 2nd millennium B.C.) and stands witness to the 500-year-old cultural continuity civilization in Pakistan. Harappa was the cradle of one of the earliest civilizations known to man and conjures up images of fifty centuries ago, a period ab out which very little is known. An interesting and well maintained museum at the Harappa site houses artifacts found in the area. Harappa is located about 200 Km from Lahore.

Hiran Minar Tour

The area around Hiran Minar, 45 Km outside Lahore, was once a fampous hunting resort of Emperor Jehangir. Hiran Minar (literally translated as ‘deer watch tower’) is a 03-storey monument built by the Emperor in the early 17th century and dedicated to the memory of his pet deer Mansraj. It has an artificial pond and four small pavilions, which were added after the minaret. The neighboring village of Sheikhupura is famous for its dancing horses and camels.

Rohtas Fort Tour

Drive to Rohtas Fort (105 km) built by Sher Shah Suri (1540), one of the most imposing historical monuments in Pakistan with high walls, massive gates and execution tower. On return, visit Buddhist stupa of Manikyala and Rewat Fort which was built by the ferocious Ghakkar Tribe.

Nankana Sahab Tour

There are almost 200 Sikh Gurdawara’s or Temples in Pakistan. Sikh pilgrims come to these temples from all over the world to pay homage. For the Sikhs, therefore this pilgrimage is both a spiritual and a historical experience. It is in Pakistan that the oldest and most revered Sikh Gurdawara, the Nankana Sahib is located as is also the oldest Sikh manuscripts of Guru Garanth Sahib. Guru Nanak Ji was born here on the banks of the River Ravi where his spirit rests in eternal peace. The birth place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the greatest Sikh ruler is still preserved here. A land with numerous Sikh ‘Gurdawaras’ is surely the place for every Sikh to visit and for all those who are drawn to their way of life.
