Embark on a highly rewarding trek to Basecamp Gondogoro, nestled in the majestic Karakorum Mountain range. The trek will take you from an elevation of 600 meters to a maximum height of 4680 meters, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience. The best time for this trek is from June to September. Starting in Islamabad, the tour will proceed to Skardu with a one-night stop in Chilas along the iconic Karakorum Highway. From Skardu, a thrilling 140km Jeep ride will lead you to the charming village of Hushe, the gateway to various expeditions and treks in the Karakorum. As you trek, you’ll traverse through stunning landscapes, passing by Shepherd’s summer camps and the convergence of Gondogoro and Charakusa Rivers. Crossing a wooden bridge, you’ll reach Shaieshcho, a picturesque shepherd’s settlement with a Mosque. Continuing your journey, you’ll arrive at Dalzampa, aptly named “field of flowers,” situated at around 4150m. Here, you’ll be greeted by two serene lakes, with the imposing Masherbrum Mountain and its cascading glacier reflecting in the tranquil waters.

This trek promises an awe-inspiring adventure, surrounded by nature’s beauty and the grandeur of the Karakorum Range. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in the untamed wilderness and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Arrive in Islamabad. Attend a briefing with the Ministry of Tourism. Overnight stay at Shalimar or Similar Hotel.

Day 02

Attempt to take a flight to Skardu or drive to Chilas in case of flight cancellation. Stay in Skardu or Chilas depending on the mode of travel.

Day 03

Free day in Skardu or drive from Chilas to Skardu. Overnight at a hotel in Skardu.

Day 04

Drive to Hushe. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 05

Begin the trek to Shaieshcho (3330m). Camping.

Day 06

Continue the trek to Gondogoro Camp (3950m). Camping.

Day 07

Trek to Dalzampa (4300m). Camping.

Day 08

Trek to Khuspang (4680m). Camping.

Day 09

Free day at Khuspang. Enjoy the surroundings. Camping.

Day 10

Trek back to Shaieshcho. Camping.

Day 11

Trek back to Hushe. Camping.

Day 12

Drive back to Skardu. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 13

Fly from Skardu to Islamabad or drive to Chilas in case of flight cancellation. Hotel stay.

Day 14

Debriefing with the Ministry of Tourism or complete the road journey from Chilas to Islamabad.

Departure from Islamabad.
