Baltoro & K2 Base Camp Trek – A Legendary Adventure

Day 1 – Islamabad to Skardu

Morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu (or optional drive via Karakoram Highway). Arrival and transfer to hotel; evening briefing and preparation for trek. Overnight in Skardu.

Day 2 – Skardu to Askole

Scenic 4–5 hour drive to Askole, the gateway to the Baltoro Glacier. Meet trekking crew, muleteers, and porters. Overnight camping in Askole.

Day 3 – Trek to Jhola

Begin trek along the Shigar River. Moderate 5–6 hour trek through pastures and small villages. Overnight camping at Jhola.

Day 4 – Trek to Paiju

Continue ascending the Baltoro Glacier valley. Spectacular views of Bualtar and Masherbrum peaks. Overnight camping at Paiju.

Day 5 – Trek to Urdukas

Trek through moraine trails along Baltoro Glacier. Glimpses of Gasherbrum, Broad Peak, and other towering peaks. Overnight camping at Urdukas.

Day 6 – Trek to Goro II

Gradual ascent through rocky terrains and icefalls. Camp at Goro II; views of the Concordia region in the distance.

Day 7 – Trek to Concordia

Trek towards Concordia (4690 m), the convergence of the Baltoro, Godwin-Austen, and Vigne glaciers. Awe-inspiring views of K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum I & II. Overnight camping at Concordia.

Day 8 – Trek to K2 Base Camp

Trek to K2 Base Camp (5100 m). Panoramic views of the world’s second-highest peak. Explore the surrounding glaciers and peaks. Overnight camping at K2 Base Camp.

Day 9 – Explore Concordia

Return trek to Concordia. Optional short hikes to nearby vantage points for photography. Overnight camping at Concordia.

Day 10–15 – Return Trek to Askole

Gradual descent retracing the route through Goro II, Urdukas, Paiju, and Jhola. Overnight camping at each stop.

Day 16 – Askole to Skardu

Drive back to Skardu; rest and celebratecompleting the trek. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 17 – Skardu Sightseeing

Optional tour of Shangrila Resort, Satpara Lake, and Shigar Fort. Overnight in Skardu.

Day 18 – Skardu to Islamabad

Morning flight or drive back to Islamabad.
