Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek – Heart of the Karakoram

Day 01 – Islamabad to Gilgit

Depart early from Islamabad via flight or road (flight preferred for time-saving). Arrival in Gilgit; check-in at the hotel. Short sightseeing of Gilgit city, including Kargah Buddha and local bazaars. Overnight stay in Gilgit.

Day 02 – Gilgit to Hunza (Karimabad)

Drive along the Karakoram Highway (KKH) to Hunza Valley. En route: Nomal Valley, Rakaposhi View Point, and Karimabad village. Visit Baltit Fort and Altit Fort. Overnight stay in Hunza.

Day 03 – Hunza to Minapin Village

Drive to Minapin, the starting point of the trek. Brief exploration of Minapin village and preparation for trek. Overnight stay in a local guesthouse.

Day 04 – Trek to Dobur Camp

Begin trek through alpine meadows and moraines. Moderate trail with scenic views of Rakaposhi and surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in tents at Dobur Camp.

Day 05 – Dobur Camp to Rakaposhi Base Camp

Trek along the Minapin Glacier. Arrive at Rakaposhi Base Camp; enjoy panoramic views of Rakaposhi, Diran, and Ultar Sar. Overnight stay in tents at Base Camp.

Day 06 – Explore Base Camp and Surroundings

Optional short hikes around Base Camp for photography and sightseeing. Engage with local flora and fauna. Overnight stay at Base Camp.

Day 07 – Trek Back to Minapin

Descend along the same trail to Minapin. Overnight stay in Minapin village guesthouse.

Day 08 – Minapin to Hunza (Karimabad)

Drive back to Karimabad. Free time for shopping or visiting local attractions. Overnight stay in Hunza.

Day 09 – Hunza to Gilgit

Drive back to Gilgit. Optional sightseeing or souvenir shopping. Overnight stay in Gilgit.

Day 10 – Gilgit to Islamabad

Flight or drive back to Islamabad.
